Polymer clay tools, tips and tricks
After an awful lot of time hunched over my laptop, I've finally published a couple of factual items that I've been promising people for months.
Two tutorials on 'finishing' your polymer clay pieces.
Everyone who has gone home from one of my workshops with an amazing bangle or necklace has asked about the finishing process.
The whole sanding / polishing thing is a bit of a black art - and something that took me a long time, quite a few wasted £££, and a lot of generous advice from other people, to figure out - so I hope it'll bypass some of that process for you.
There are two sections to it - Sanding and Polishing. You can find both (and lots more info) under the "Useful Info" section.
Tools and equipment
I've also compiled a fairly comprehensive guide to all the various tools and pieces of equipment that I use in my home studio.
I've divided it into 'Basic', 'Intermediate' and 'Advanced'. Compiling it was fun, though it turned out to be a much longer list than I expected. It made me realise how much of a tool-addict I really am!
I'm still working on a sort of book 'reviews' page - watch this space - as well as some basic tutorials. But that might have to take a back seat to making stuff for fairs and Christmas for a while.
Anyway, I hope you find both pieces useful. If there's stuff I've missed off, or if you've got any questions, comments or criticisms (or better ways to do things) I would really love to hear about it. Please contact me!
